I know I know. This isn’t the first time I’ve made excuses for leaving both this blog and the YouTube page somewhat barren for a long period. Suffice to say there’s a whole load of reasons but about 3 months ago is when I first took the decision to reignite both sites. One problem, I didn’t know the first thing about recording audio and had none of the required gear to do it. One of those problems has been solved and the other is a work in progress so finally, we’re back. At present the plan is to return to form, new uploads every week but who knows, I might even be able to muster two vids a week eventually. We’ll see. And get those requests in! Game Of Thrones S05E05 – Kill The Boy
Dragons! Winter! Theon! Ramsay! This week saw Game Of Thrones get a little closer to the territory this all started in. Damn it’s good to have Winterfell back, didn’t even know I’d missed it! That said its a little sad that a Tyrion and King’s Landing-lite episode is one of the best of the season so far but hey, characters have to move on and change. Not that we don’t already know how Jimmy finds himself in the Breaking Bad time line but we do also know that come the end of this series that Jimmy has become Saul, a sleazy criminal lawyer who doesn’t have any apparent family or personal ties and though he may be sound financially he is a far cry from the 20 million being talked about in this week’s episode. It makes the series doubly tragic as it unfolds and with this week’s “Rico” I think we can safely say this is all going to go down horribly. Continue reading The Goggle Box – It’s Ricktatorship Time!
Better Call Saul S01E04 – “Hero”
Four episodes in and yes, Better Call Saul is a damn fine TV show. Already it is clear that the twists and turns are just going to keep coming and escalating and the story of the rise of Saul Goodman is merely beginning. Bob Odenkirk is absolutely nailing it right now too, going above and beyond his previous portrayal of the character and he hasn’t even hit the highest highs of absurdity yet.
