Springsteen Set For Croke Park

Bruce-Springsteen

As an avid Bruce Springsteen fan and as the proud owner of an unused Garth Brooks ticket it’s hard to respond to this news with anything but at least mild trepidation; but all signs indicate that Bruce Springsteen is set to play two nights in Croke Park this coming summer. European Rugby – Leinster Look To Lead

One round left and relatively little change from Matt O’Connor. When your team has demolished Castres a week previous, why tinker with the formula I suppose. The other provinces aren’t quite as lucky, all three listing worrying injuries, but unfortunately only one of the three from south, north and west have any role potentially beyond this weekend in Europe. Slipknot Finally Return To Irish Shores

Slipknot_2014

“Take care of yourselves. And take care of each other”. Yep, those were the last words spoken from the stage by Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor after rocking a near capacity crowd for an extremely solid two hours. I’m opening this review with that little factoid not because it was so unexpected from the frontman of a bunch of “satanists”; no I’m opening with this information because it just completely summarises what Slipknot are all about and what those who do not take the time to learn do not realise about them. European Rugby – Time To Separate The Men From The Boys

Round 2 of the European Rugby Champion’s Cup and already we’re looking at a whole new playing field. Ulster VS Toulon, Munster VS Saracens, Leinster VS Castres and Connacht VS Exeter. Certainly far more fitting and mouth watering challenges for the provinces, and though it may be true that you don’t lose any competition in the first round, the second is where those short fallings and mistakes can be made that haunt you for the rest of the season. Live In Concert – Metallica, RDS, 2003

Who saw this one coming? Yes, indeed I was a metal head. and when it comes to Metallica, I still am, having not missed a single gig they’ve played in Ireland since this one. It was my first time out on my own to a gig, first ticket I’d saved and saved for, first time making that conscious decision to go and see an artist I truly admired the shit out of. And it didn’t disappoint one bit.
